Weekly Pictures Outtakes

It takes about 10-20 pictures to get 1 good weekly photo of a newborn. Some of the attempts are pretty hilarious, so I thought I would share some from each week.

An Important Moment in Every Baby's Life...

her first trip to an outdoor world store. In this case Cabela's. Daddy was super pumped to show Lottie her future favorite store (according to him of course--I still hope that she will share my love of Michael's or DSW--both of which she experienced for the first time this week as well). Like all important firsts, we documented the experience.

PS While in DSW, Chris lamented over the fact that Lottie was awake. He said he could tell the smell of shoes was seeping into her brain. She can't help it though--she has a genetic predisposition to have a shoe thing just like she has one to love the outdoors.

How Are You Feeling Today?

I mentioned in this post that Lottie makes a ton of faces. She is very expressive (gets it from her Dad I think). Over the past 6 weeks, we have come to know even more. She has so many that I think we could create one of those "How Are You Feeling Today" charts. So...

How Are You Feeling Today?

Happy

Silly

Enlightened

Update on Lottie Weeks 4 & 5

Lottie is growing by leaps and bounds. She is developing thigh and arm rolls (I told her to eat as much as she wants because this is the only time in her life when having rolls will be considered cute--gotta live it up while you can). She is now in Size 1 diapers and transitioning into 3 month old clothing. She is smiling in response to silly things her Daddy and I do. We are also putting her on her tummy for about 10 minutes a day, and she can raise her head enough to move it to face the other direction and push up with her legs to raise her bum in the air. We have also given her a bottle. I was very worried about it, but she loves to eat so much that she doesn't seem to care how her food is given to her. She is an eater--she has taken 5-6 ounces a feeding each time we have given her a bottle. She is still a sweet, laid back baby. We could not ask for better. Anyways, here are pictures:

Tummy Time
You can kinda see Charlotte pushing up with her legs here
(you can also tell she is tired of tummy time and pictures :) )

Charlotte lifting her head

Sucking her hand--my brother and I were finger suckers,
and it is a horrible habit to break.
We are trying to push the pacifier instead.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there. I am enjoying my first Mother's Day. Chris & Lottie gave me cards and an orchid. I also got sandals yesterday while we were at DSW (we went to get dress shoes for Chris and I walked out with 2 pairs of new shoes in addition to his dress shoes ;) ). Chris also gave me a beautiful necklace for my birthday with Lottie's birthstone (Aquamarine) that was a joint Mother's Day and Birthday gift.

Email Notifications

While I am posting much more regularly, it is still sporadic, so I added an option on the left that allows you to enter your email to receive notifications of when I post something new. My understanding is no email unless there is a new post. I know I don't have time to check all the blogs every day that I love to follow, so I assumed y'all don't either. I figure this will save y'all time and effort and allow y'all to keep up with Charlotte if you so desire.

A Very Scary Movie

As you are watching this video, you will be "awing" and thinking "how precious." And it is a sweet video--up until the last 5 seconds when Chris says something that brings terror to my heart. Haha.
